About Our North Carolina Rescue Facility

Where every animal is treated as an individual.

OUR FACILITY and CARE STANDARDS

Our 5-acre facility in Raeford is cage-free. Instead, each of our furry friends has their own spacious room with access via a dog door to a large patio 24/7. Rooms have soft beds, toys, water, air conditioning, heat and yes, we leave the lights on for them. Each patio opens to large play yards for group play time and valuable time spent with volunteers.

We make their stay here with us as homelike and comfortable as possible.

From the moment we rescue an animal, we begin with a liver cleanse, new diet, and full veterinary workup. Our management team puts careful consideration into the diet of each animal, only feeding with real and raw food which is adjusted to fit the individual's needs. (more information on our raw food diets found here)

WE STRIVE

To ensure that our animals stay with their new adopted family. Every decision we make as a facility is to assure the animals happiness and respect with responsible families so that they do not end up back in the ‘system’.

OUR VISION

To decrease euthanasia at area county shelters and humane societies. To elevate the status of animals in society by example through public education.

Message from the Founder

Solutions for Animals | No-Kill Animal Sanctuary | Raeford, North Carolina | Meet the Team

Imagine finding yourself in a cage…

Your future depending on your reaction to staff, volunteers, and possible adopters. You are so frightened, you lash out and scratch someone or huddle in the corner and growl. If you do not “show yourself well” your fate will be death. If you are not as good looking or as young as the one across the hall, your fate will be the same. If you play the game well and are accepting of your situation in the cage, leaning against it aiding the touch of human fingers through the wire, or if you are simply good looking or young enough , you will be given a chance to get out of the cage. Unfortunately, even then if no one comes, within days, your fate will be death.

Humanely,

Cindy Bristow
